Chiropractic Care

We strive to provide the best possible care by not only adjusting the spine and extremities, but also by addressing the muscular components as well. Patients often present with symptoms that can be treated with massage, trigger point therapy, manual stretching and compression. Treatments often last 15 minutes or more so all of the patient’s symptoms can be addressed.

Functional Medicine

Functional Medicine is an exciting new form of healthcare that focuses on the root cause of all disease. Blood panels are analyzed to monitor values above or below “normal” ranges. Nutritional food plan changes and or supplements are then recommended to bring abnormal levels into a “healthy” range. Patients can chose both Functional Medicine and Chiropractic care to optimize their health.

Craniosacral Therapy

Craniosacral Therapy is a form of bodywork or alternative therapy using gentle touch to palpate the synarthrodial joints of the cranium. A practitioner of cranial-sacral therapy may also apply light touches to a patient's spine and pelvic bones.

Nutritional Counseling

Patients at Bellis Chiropractic are encouraged to bring their current supplements to their appointments. Using Applied Kinesiology and Contact Reflex Analysis, Dr. Bellis can determine which supplements are most effective for each patient. Nutrition is an extremely important aspect to all care plans at Bellis Chiropractic.

Nutrition Response Testing

Dr. Freddie Ulan discovered a technique which utilizes a patient’s muscle response to various stressors to determine nutritional needs. It is a surprisingly accurate and cost-effective nutritional technique.

Flexion/Distraction

Flexion distraction technique uses the table to restore normal physiological range of motion to the spinal joints. Flexion distraction manipulation is a gentle, non-force adjusting procedure which works with the body's natural design to aid it in healing properly.

Koren Specific Technique

The ArthroStim gives patients a very specific adjustment, meaning that only the segment that is out of position is adjusted; there is no twisting, turning or "cracking" of joints. This technique permits adjusting in different postures.

Arthrostim Instrument Adjusting

An Arthrostim® adjustment involves the use of special instruments. It has an appearance similar to a drill, and is held in a similar manner. What it does is produce a speedy thrust and recoil motion, similar to the way a chiropractor uses their hands to adjust the vertebrae in your back. The benefit of the instrument is that it performs this high-velocity, low-amplitude motion 12 times per second, and is targeted to a very small area. The force of the thrust radiates through the joint and the tissues that surround it, releasing trigger points that are often the cause of muscle spasms.

Diversified Adjusting

Diversified is the most common spine manipulation technique used by chiropractors, with approximately 96% of chiropractors using it for approximately 70% of their patients. Diversified is also the technique most preferred for use during future practice by chiropractic students. Like many chiropractic and osteopathic manipulative techniques, Diversified is characterized by a high-velocity, low-amplitude thrust. It is considered the most generic chiropractic manipulative technique and is differentiated from other techniques in that its objective is to restore proper movement and alignment of spine and joint dysfunction.
